This is the starting point - enjoy your tour!
Past Use: Τhe store consisted the factory's maintenance building. It had the use of supporting the production in andout of the factory, including a big machine shop, a forge and a foundry. The C.F.M.L. machine shop was one of the first of the kind in Greece, as well as one of the best- equipped. The workshop had the possibility to cover the whole factory needs (machinery, tools spares etc.).
Current Use: LTCP – Conference Hall / event organization. Café - Restaurant. Most of the complex is dedicated to the under construction Museum of Mining and Metallurgy.

Frühere Nutzung:Das Lager bestand aus dem Wartungsgebäude der Fabrik. Es hatte die Aufgabe, die Produktion innerhalb und außerhalb der Fabrik zu unterstützen, einschließlich einer großen Maschinenfabrik, einer Schmiede und einer Gießerei. Die C.F.M.L. Maschinenwerkstatt war eine der ersten in Griechenland, sowie eine der bestausgerüsteten. Aktuelle Nutzung: LTCP - Konferenzsaal / Veranstaltungsorganisation. Café - Restaurant. Der größte Teil des Komplexes ist dem im Bau befindlichen Museum für Bergbau und Metallurgie gewidmet.

Our educational programs are taken place in this building:
1. “The mining and metallurgical procedures in the former French Mining Company of Lavrion”
(5th and 6th Grade of Elementary School and also Junior and Senior High School)
By following the production line of specific minerals, from quarrying to the final product, students gather information on how the French Mining Company of Lavrion operated. Each stage of the process constitutes a point for research for the students and gives stimulation for continued research after their visit.
3. “Once upon a time there was a worker”
(Kindergarten, 1st Grade of Elementary School)
Through role-playing, children bring to life the story of a worker in the former French Mining Company of Lavrion. Acting as laborers, they discover how a metallurgical factory operated.

Unsere Bildungsprogramme finden in diesem Gebäude statt:
1. "Die Bergbau- und Metallverfahren in der ehemaligen französischen Minenfirma von Lavrion"
(5. und 6. Klasse der Grundschule und auch Junior und Senior High School)
Durch die Durcharbeitung der Produktionslinie bestimmter Mineralien, vom Abbau bis zum Endprodukt, sammeln die Schüler Informationen darüber, wie die französische Minenfirma von Lavrion operiert hat. Jede Phase des Prozesses bildet einen Punkt für die Forschung für die Schüler und gibt Anregung für die weitere Forschung nach ihrem Besuch.
3. "Es war einmal ein Arbeiter"
(Kindergarten, 1. Grundschulklasse)
Durch Rollenspiele lassen Kinder die Geschichte eines Arbeiters in der ehemaligen französischen Minenfirma von Lavrion lebendig werden. Als Arbeiter entdecken sie, wie eine metallurgische Fabrik funktioniert.

Past Use: The building was initially used as the Director’s dwelling. Later it housed the administration services of the company or, later, it was used as a Guest House.
Current Use: The Center for Environmental Education of Lavrio is settled here. The institution conducts educational programs for school groups. The ground floor is used for educational functions, while the rest of the building serves as scholars’ accommodation.
Interesting fact: Charles de Gaulle stayed in this accommodation when he visited Lavrio.


Frühere Nutzung: Das Gebäude wurde ursprünglich als Wohnung des Direktors genutzt. Später beherbergte es die Verwaltungsdienste des Unternehmens und danach wurde es erst als Gasthaus verwendet.
Aktuelle Nutzung: Das Zenrum der Umwelterziehung Lavrio ist hier angesiedelt. In der Einrichtung werden Bildungsprogramme für Schulgruppen durchgeführt. Das Erdgeschoss wird für Bildungszwecke genutzt, während der Rest das Gebäudes als Unterkunft für Schüler und Wissenschaftler dient.
Interessante Tatsache: Charles de Gaulle schlief dieser Unterkunft, als er Lavrio besuchte.

come una Guest House.
Uso corrente: vi è il centro per l’educazione ambientale. all’interno dell’istituto vengono attuati programmi educativi per gruppi scolastici. Il piano terra è utilizzato per funzioni educative, mentre il resto dell'edificio funge da alloggio per studenti.

Past Use: Initially, the villa was built as Serpieri’s family residence. Practically, it hosted the administration offices of the firm.
Current Use: Administration offices of the Technological Park, Seminar Rooms (ground floor)
Interesting Fact: The front door as well as parts of the interior of the building have been featured in a popular Greek comedy tv-series To Kafé tis Charas (Chara’s cafe). J. B.Serpieris stayed here whenever he visited Lavrio.

Past Use: The garage and the fire service were hosted in this place. The fire service, used to cover not only the firm’s premises, but also the residence area of the firm's workers.

Frühere Nutzung: Die Garage und die Feuerwehr wurden in diesem Ort untergebracht. Die Feuerwehr hat nicht nur die Räumlichkeiten der Firma, sondern auch den Aufenthaltsbereich der Arbeiter der Firma abgedeckt.

Current Use: Seminar rooms of multiple use (floor and ground floor)

Frühere Nutzung: Anfangs war das Gebäude die Apotheke der Firma und später wurden darin die Aufzeichnungen der Firma angefertigt.

Past Use: The accounting office, the drawing office and other offices of the French Company were housed in this building.
Current Use: The ground floor hosts the company "KB Impulse". The first floor hosts the company "Q-Free" and the "Environmental Education Center».

This educational program takes place in this building:
2. “Tools and machines”
(1st Grade of Junior High School)
The students collect information about the characteristics and properties of basic tools and machines located in the machine shop. They then choose the appropriate tools and machines they need to produce an object; they manufacture it and then present how they did it.

2. "Werkzeuge und Maschinen"
(1. Klasse der Junior High School)
Die Schüler sammeln Informationen über die Funktionen und Eigenschaften von Grundwerkzeugen und Maschinen, die sich in der Werkstatt befinden. Sie wählen dann die geeigneten Werkzeuge und Maschinen, die sie benötigen, um ein Objekt zu erzeugen. Danach stellen sie es her und präsentieren wie sie vorgegangen sind.

2. "Strumenti e macchine"

Past Use: The ores’ samples’ chemical analysis, from all stages of production, used to take place in these parlors; so as the analysis of "galenite", which was extracted from the mines of Lavrioor from abroad, for their conciseness in lead to be ascertained. The ice making department has been granted to the Handicraft Industrial Museum.
Current Use: No courrent usage

Frühere Nutzung: In diesen Salons fand früher die chemische Analyse der chemischen Proben der Erze aus allen Produktionsstufen statt; sowie die Analyse von "Galenit", die aus den Minen von Lavrioor aus dem Ausland extrahiert wurden, um ihre Prägnanz festzustellen. Die Eisabteilung wurde dem Handwerklichen Industriemuseum übergeben.
Aktuelle Nutzung: keine aktuelle Nutzung

Uso passato: l’analisi chimica dei campioni dei minerali da tutte le fasi di produzione; così come l'analisi della "galenite", che è stata ampiamente estratta dalle miniere di Lavrioor. Il reparto di produzione di ghiaccio è stato assegnato al Museo Industriale dell'Artigianato.

On the top of the mountain, a part of the Sounion National Park can be seen.
The park is located west od the city of Lavrion and has a total area of 36,000 m², 4,900 of which is its core; it consists of a mining, archeological and ecological park, which requires development to promote it as a whole. The works of mother earth, the molten matter that seethed in her depths, rose to the upper strata and created her rare minerals; indeed Lavrion has been described an an inexhaustible mineralogical museum.

Am Gipf das Berges kann man einen Teil des Sounion Nationalparks sehen.
Der Park liegt westlich der Stadt Lavrion und hat eine Gesamtfläche von 36.000 m², davon 4.900 im Kern; es besteht aus einem Bergbau-, archäologischen und ökologischen Park, der eine Entwicklung erfordert, um ihn als Ganzes zu fördern. Die Werke von Mutter Erde, die geschmolzene Materie, die in ihren Tiefen brodelte, stiegen in die oberen Schichten und schufen ihre seltenen Mineralien; tatsächlich wurde Lavrion als ein unerschöpfliches mineralogisches Museum beschrieben.

We picked out two of the most important buildings of the production:
Name: Recoil
Past Use: It was the area of the water jacket, the production of crude lead (with impurities of silver, copper, etc.). This place was the heart of the factory's production. From the productive process of melting, the "impure" pencil was produced, poured into large molds and advanced to the lead purification section
Current Use: To be funded and used by self-financing by the lessee
Name: Roasting
Past Use: In the first stage of the production process, this building was mixed in special proportions of "galena", fluxes, slag, recycled ore and converted into small-sized pellets. This product was fed to roasting furnaces and produced a concentrated porous mass of 25 cm in diameter. This product was called "agglomere", and was the raw material for the oven.
Current Use: To be funded and used by self-financing by the lessee

Name: Rückstoß
Frühere Verwendung: Es war der Bereich des Wassermantels, die Produktion von Rohblei (mit Verunreinigungen von Silber, Kupfer, etc.). Dieser Ort war das Herz der Fabrikproduktion. Aus dem produktiven Schmelzprozess wurde der "unreine" Stift hergestellt, in große Formen gegossen und zur Bleireinigungssektion transportiert.
Aktuelle Nutzung: Durch Eigenfinanzierung des Mieters zu nutzen
Name: Rösten
Verwendung in der Vergangenheit: In der ersten Phase des Produktionsprozesses wurde dieses Gebäude in speziellen Anteilen von "Galena", Flussmitteln, Schlacke, recyceltem Erz gemischt und in kleine Pellets umgewandelt. Dieses Produkt wurde Röstöfen zugeführt und erzeugte eine konzentrierte poröse Masse von 25 cm Durchmesser. Dieses Produkt wurde "Agglomerier" genannt und war das Rohmaterial für den Ofen.
Aktuelle Nutzung: Durch Eigenfinanzierung des Mieters zu nutzen

Dopo la miscelazione veniva convertito in pellet di piccole dimensioni. Questo prodotto era chiamato "agglomere" ed era la materia prima per il forno.

Past Use: It was constructed in 1876 as the Metal Washers Nr. 2. After the “flotation” technology was prevailed and located in the building of the next station, this building has been rearranged to house the Carpentry, as well as the Company's Electric Substation. The carpentry used to cover the factory's needs, the needs of the mines about wooden propping, as well as the construction works that have been taking place in the districts of Kyprianos, Kamariza and Plaka. The reducing voltage transformers of the Substation have been installed outdoors. Most of this equipment is maintained in situ.
Current Use: The section D of the Carpentry's complex is rented by the firm “Pyrogenesis S.A.” Sections B, C and a part of A are rented by the firm “Nanophos”.

Frühere Nutzung: Es wurde 1876 als Metallscheiben Nr. 2 konstruiert. Nachdem die "Flotation" -Technologie vorherrschte und sich im Gebäude der nächsten Station befand, wurde dieses Gebäude umfunktioniert, um die Zimmerei sowie die elektrische Umspannstation des Unternehmens unterzubringen. Die Schreinerei kümmerte sich um die Bedürfnisse der Fabrik, der Minen um die Holzbefestigung sowie die Bauarbeiten in den Bezirken Kyprianos, Kamariza und Plaka. Die Reduzierspannungswandler der Umspannstation wurden im Freien installiert. Die meisten dieser Geräte werden in Situ gewartet.
Aktuelle Nutzung: Der Bereich D des Zimmereikomplexes wird von der Firma "Pyrogenesis S.A." gemietet. Die Abschnitte B, C und ein Teil von A werden von der Firma "Nanophos" gemietet.

Uso passato: è stato costruito nel 1876 come il metallo Rondelle Nr. 2. Dopo la prevalenza della tecnologia flottazione, sita nell'edificio della stazione successiva, questo edificio è stato riorganizzato per ospitare la Carpenteria, così come la sottostazione elettrica della compagnia. La carpenteria veniva utilizzata per coprire i fabbisogni della fabbrica, delle miniere e dei lavori di costruzione realizzati nei distretti di Kyprianos, Kamariza e Plaka. I trasformatori di tensione della sottostazione sono stati installati all'esterno. La maggior parte di questa attrezzatura viene mantenuta in situ.
Uso corrente: La sezione D del complesso del Carpenteria viene affittata dalla ditta "Pyrogenesis S.A." Le sezioni B, C e una parte della sezione A sono affittate dalla ditta "Nanophos".

Past Use: Τhe building complex has been constructed as a mineral washery, for the metallurgic process of ore. After 1930 it has hosted the new productive procession, by the “Flotation” method. On the storey section, today fully renovated, the flotation storage used to take place.

Frühere Nutzung: Der Gebäudekomplex wurde als Waschanlage für Minerale für den metallurgischen Erzprozess konstruiert. Nach 1930 wurde die neue Produktionsprozession nach der "Flotation" -Methode durchgeführt. Auf dem Geschossabschnitt, heute komplett renoviert, fand früher der Flotationsspeicher statt.

Uso passato: il complesso edilizio è stato costruito come una lavanderia mineraria, per il processo metallurgico del minerale grezzo. Dopo il 1930 ha ospitato la nuova produzione, con il metodo della flottazione. Nella sezione del primo piano, oggi completamente rinnovata, veniva utilizzato lo stoccaggio di flottazione.
